Catholic School Board appoints new trustee

The Board of Trustees of the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Leo de Jourdan as Trustee for the municipality of North Bay.

Leo de Jourdan is currently Program Coordinator/Professor in the Police Foundations program at Canadore College and has extensive experience serving on various boards and advisory committees, including Victim Services of Nipissing District, of which he is currently a member.

He previously served as Trustee and Vice-Chair on the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic DSB from 1997 to 2003. Mr. de Jourdan was appointed at a Special Meeting of the Board on April 8, and his appointment will be effective April 29, 2013 until the end of the current term of the Board, November 30, 2014.

The Board of Trustees looks forward to working with Mr. de Jourdan for the remainder of the term.

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board serves over 3000 students in 12 elementary schools across North Bay, West Nipissing, Mattawa, Powassan and Callander and St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School in North Bay.
