Senior Achievement Award nominations now open

MPP Vic Fedeli is again this year encouraging nominations of deserving seniors in Nipissing for an Ontario Senior Achievement Award.



The deadline for nominations is June 15, but late nominations will be considered for the following year.



“Each year, significant voluntary and professional achievements made by individuals after they’ve reached the age of 65 are recognized by the province of Ontario,” said Fedeli.



“Please take the time to nominate a worthy candidate in your community.”



In 2011, Callander’s Evelyn Masson was one of 20 Ontarians chosen for the honour.



“We need the contribution of people like Evelyn if we’re to maintain strong and vibrant communities. We need to recognize these exceptional individuals.”
