The North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) wants to thank the public in helping prevent tragedies on our area highways, trails and waterways. Officers were out in high visibility this weekend; and while there were still numerous charges laid ranging from speeding, impaired driving and seat belt offences, there were only 4 motor vehicle collisions for the entire area, and all of those involved 3 deer collisions, and 1 moose related crash, with no injuries.
