Near North School Board ARC to hear community deputations

The Near North District School Board’s accommodation review committee (ARC) for the North Bay Family of Schools presented its final report and recommendations to the Board of Trustees for consideration on March 26, 2013.

The ARC for the North Bay area family of schools includes: Dr. MacDougall, King George and J.W. Trusler public schools.

Community members have an opportunity to make deputations directly to the Board of Trustees to make their views known before any final decision(s) are made by the Board. The meeting will be held at Chippewa Secondary School on Wednesday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium.

Members of the public wishing to make a five minute presentation to the Board must submit their deputation in writing. Deputations for presentation will be received up to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013 by Carrie Girard, Information Officer, at [email protected].

Deputation requests must include: speaker’s name, address and contact numbers, the topic and a written copy of the presentation.

The Board will be deciding the future of the schools involved, in open session, at its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
