Callander Active Transportation Plan and Farmer’s Market Council for the Municipality of Callander adopted an Active Transportation Plan on Tuesday, March 26, 2013.
The Callander Active Transportation Plan (with support from the Government of Ontario, Discovery Routes Trails Organization and the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit) is demonstrative of Council’s and Staff’s commitment to creating opportunities for improved community health and well-being. This Plan will assist and guide Callander in developing the use of Active Transportation within our community to:
Create a Culture of Health and Active Living
Create a Strong Sense of Community
Develop Callander as a Regional Recreational Destination Council wishes to thank the citizens of Callander for their valuable input and support in the development of the Callander Active Transportation Plan.
A copy of the Callander Active Transportation Plan is available for review at the Municipal Office located at 280 Main Street North in Callander, Ontario.
Council for the Municipality of Callander has approved the use of the Bill Barber Multi-use Complex for a weekly Farmers Market as a 2013 pilot project starting in May.
