On March 27, 2013, at approximately 3:00pm, members of the North Bay Police Service responded to vehicle /pedestrian motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Victoria St and Wyld St, North Bay. The driver of the offending vehicle failed to remain at the scene of the accident
A severely injured victim was transported to the North Bay Regional Health Centre where they succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident. The offending vehicle has been located and police are continuing their investigation with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Reconstruction Unit. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of the motor.
