McKellar Township duo busted in grow-op investigation

On March 22, 2013 the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau North Bay Drug Enforcement Unit supported by the Ontario Provincial Police West Parry Sound Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police Tactics and Rescue Unit and Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a McKellar Township residence.

As a result of the investigation an indoor cannabis marihuana growing operation was located. 67 cannabis marihuana plants, cannabis marihuana, cannabis resin and cocaine were seized during the investigation as well as offence related property. Two individuals were arrested and charged, David Hayes was held for a bail hearing in Parry Sound on March 25, 2013 and Tracy Lewis was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in court on April 18, 2013.

The street value of the drugs seized is $69,801.00. .


CHARGED IS:

Lewis, Tracy age 36, of McKellar Township

Production of a Controlled Substance – 1 count

Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - 1 count

Possession of a Controlled Substance – 3 counts



Hayes, David age 51, of McKellar Township

Production of a Controlled Substance – 1 count1

Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - 1 count

Possession of a Controlled Substance – 3 count

please insecurious... Nuggett is spelled with one "t" (Nugget) and "Mispell" is spelled "Misspell"
