Tuesday, March 12, 2013   by: Kate AdamsYou’re invited to the launch of Tommy’s Angel, a picture book for children by local author Donna Sinclair at Gulliver’s Books and Toys, Friday, March 15,
from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.

Families will enjoy sharing this story of a boy, his dog, and an angel, wonderfully illustrated by artist Bill Kimber. The book shows a young child dealing with loss, and finding comfort from an angel - a joyous and timely message of hope.

Donna Sinclair is former senior writer of the United Church Observer Magazine, and a journalist with 35 years’ experience.

She is the author of A Woman’s Book of Days, The Long View, The Spirituality of Bread, and the Spirituality of Gardening. More locally, she is known for her beautiful garden on Jane Street, her delicious home-made breads, and her passionate support for environmental and social justice issues.

A picture book would mean that its intended audience is very small children. Why in the world would you have the launch from 7:30 to 9:00m at night??
