At 2:30pm on the 9th Mar a man returned to his Gertrude St residence to find a van running in his driveway and a man in his house.
The intruder fled when confronted.
A search of the residence showed that his bedroom had been searched and hundreds of dollars in coin and collectables in $1 and $2 bills were missing.
Cst Vince Corrente is investigating.
