City police seeking help with assault case

At 3:30pm on 10th Mar a man accidently got between another man and his girlfriend.
The boyfriend wanted to fight but the victim apologized and attempted to walk away.
He was pushed down from behind, then punched several times and kicked in the face.
The assailant and the girlfriend fled when the police were called.
The man is described as; male, white, mid 20’s, stocky build, short brown hair, 2 earrings, blue eyes, wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans. The girlfriend is female, white, with long brown hair wearing a white puffy jacket.
