Change of Honorary Colonels at CFB North Bay

Today, Honorary Colonel Scott Clark, 21 Aerospace Control & Warning Squadron (21 AC&W Sqn) relinquished his appointment to Honorary Colonel George Burton. Presiding over the ceremony was Lieutenant-Colonel James Peck, 21 AC&W Sqn Commanding Officer.

"I am extremely honoured, privileged and humbled to have this appointment and I look forward to the opportunities and responsibilities it brings. The guardian of regimental traditions and history and the promoting of the squadron’s identity and ethos is a role I look forward to. My goal is to build upon the wonderful connection the squadron has with the community and to be a resource to the men and women who serve," stated Burton.

It is with great pleasure that the members of the squadron thank Honorary Colonel Clark for the years he spent as an integral member of the unit and an equally hearty welcome to Honorary Colonel Burton.

The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Honorary Colonels’ program has been active across the squadrons since 1992. There are some sixty appointments throughout the RCAF at any one time. Honorary Colonel’s act as advisors to unit commanders and become key members within the air force environment.
