The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to two separate reports of a male party attending local businesses and asking for change for large bills ($50 and $100.00)

The party requests small bills in exchange for his $50 or $100.00 dollar bill. He then uses distracting techniques on the cashier, diverting their attention while he exits with the store’s money and his original bill.

The suspect is described as Caucasian male approximately 30-40 years of age, blue eyes, 5”8 -5”9, wearing a black leather coat and gray/ black toque.

The OPP are reminding store owners to be diligent in protecting themselves from this scam. If you have any information or dealings with this individual, call the OPP immediately.
