Teri 2/20/2013 8:01:09 PM ReportSome people can slip thru the cracks and this young man sure has. Since a very young age he was diagnosed with ADHD and Learning Difficulties with his parents being divorced and each parent having their own perception of their sons issues the boy was lost. One parent just believed he just needed a good kick in the ***. How is it the professionals that had tried to help him at a young age could be over ridden by a father who didnt think he needed help and a young boy having all the rights to say No. We have all heard the expression you can't lead a horse to water but what is wrong with getting that horse there to see if he will drink?
But, instead it leads to mental health issues and drug addiction and obviously troubles with the law.
And to add to that he almost succeeded at commiting suicide last year when a constable had to revive him, he was released from the hospital in less than 24 hours of being admitted and only an hour after being taken off a ventilator.
So lets fill our jails with men like this instead of giving them the proper professional help required.
Lets get the horse to water and see if he drinks!!!
If theres help out there we would greatly appreciate your response.
smurf84 2/21/2013 7:34:27 PM ReportVery well said Teri. He does need the help and I pray to god and hope that he takes it. I hope this makes him realize what he is doing is not right. U figure that him almost succeeding suicide would give him a reality check just it didnt so I'm hoping that this does.
