Fedeli says throne speech offers lip service to northTuesday, February 19, 2013 by: Kate Adams
Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli
QUEEN’S PARK – Today’s Throne Speech was a missed opportunity for the McGuinty-Wynne Liberals to change direction and get Ontario off the wrong track, said Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli.
No one should be more disappointed with the speech than Northern Ontarians, Fedeli added.
“Out of 17 pages, Northern Ontario received half of one sentence,” Fedeli said.
“There was no mention of Ontario Northland or the New Deal, and no definitive plan to develop the Ring of Fire,” said Fedeli.
“The lack of attention paid to the North is very alarming.”
Fedeli also expressed dismay at the lack of a plan to reduce spending and create jobs to get Ontarians working again.
“Regrettably for Ontario, Premier Wynne appears to have chosen to entrench the McGuinty agenda that led to the biggest jobs and debt crisis of our lifetime,” said Fedeli.
“The only way forward is to move quickly, confidently and boldly in the direction you know is right. The Ontario PC Party is the only party with a comprehensive plan to end overspending and grow our economy.”

The throne speech is meant to be broad brush strokes, but Mr Fedeli obviously doesn't realize that.
How about at least waiting for the budget Mr Fedeli?
Ontario can not afford another election right now!
Why must you be so divisive and negative?
It would appear that you are more desirous of becoming the next leader of the provincial PC's than you are concerned about the North or Ontario as a whole.
What exactly have you done for the North since being elected, other than continue to alienate us from the governing Liberals.

Vic has the Little Man Syndrom
He's only concerned for himself. Vic, why don't you play nice and do you best to play nice with the government instead of pissing them off like you always do and did when Monique was MPP.
Put your dreams and aspirations of being the next premier asside and do your job, represent people here in Nipissing not WhoDat?

I'm not a big fan of Vic, but to say that the throne speech provided anything for northern or rural Ontario is delusional. What more pandering to the 905!
