Group arrested for theft

On 16th Feb the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit observed 3 persons (2males, 1 female) enter a McKeown Ave store where they took items, left the store and were immediately observed to remove the tags.

They went to another store where they were observed to take several items and leave the store without paying.

When arrested outside the store the two males attempted to flee but were apprehended after a brief struggle.

When the woman was arrested a flick knife was located hidden on her person.

Jason Topps 31yrs of Fourth Ave E has been charged with 2 counts of theft under $5000, possession of stolen property, and breach of probation.

He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

Vicky Simeon 24yrs of no fixed address has been charged with 2 counts of theft under $5000, possession of stolen property, possession of a prohibited weapon, and carrying a concealed weapon.

She has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

Joseph Kiss 25yrs of Lorne Ave has been charged with 2 counts of theft under $5000 and possession of stolen property.

He is to appear in court April 9th 2013.

Jason Topps & his merry band are quite the crew. A record that dates back almost 10 years. Almost certainly all this crime is drug related. I wonder if we wouldn't be better off voting him off the island?
