Freezing rain warning ended

Freezing rain ending early this afternoon.

Precipitation continues over Northeastern Ontario in association with a low pressure system approaching the region. Snow, ice pellets and brief periods of freezing rain will change to rain early this afternoon.

By late afternoon and this evening colder air will move back in and the precipitation will change back to snow. A few centimetres are expected for some locales before the snow ends overnight.

Motorists and pedestrians should be prepared for hazardous conditions as untreated surfaces will be ice covered and slippery.

Freezing rain this morning.

Precipitation continues over Northeastern Ontario in association with a low pressure system approaching the region. Snow, at times mixed with ice pellets, ahead of the low will change to brief periods of freezing rain and then to rain this morning.

By this evening colder air will arrive and the precipitation will change back to snow. A few centimetres are expected for some locales before the snow ends.

Motorists and pedestrians should be prepared for hazardous conditions as untreated surfaces will become ice covered and slippery.
