City police investigating attempted robbery at a downtown convenience store

On February 5th at approximately 11:45pm, a male entered a downtown convenience store with his face covered and demanded money from the clerk.


The male made the clerk believe that he possibly had a gun.


The male fled towards McIntyre Street without further incident.


The suspect is described as being a white male, 25 – 30 yrs., approx. 5’10” with thin to medium build.


He was further described as wearing a black winter jacket, white running shoes with black markings, dark jeans, black neck warmer, and red winter toque with a white Canada symbol and maple leaf.


Investigation is continuing.
