School buses are cancelled

Tuesday, January 29, 2013   by: Kate AdamsNipissing-Parry Sound Student Transportation Services reminds us that during inclement weather, parents/guardians are responsible to decide whether to send their child to the bus stop or to school.

During extreme cold weather or severe weather storm conditions, we recommend that parents remind their children of possible vehicle (bus) breakdown or delays.

Parents are advised to exercise their own discretion as to how long a pupil should wait for a school bus in inclement weather.

Parents should have a back-up plan in place to allow for unforeseen circumstances.

Nipissing - Parry Sound Student Transportation Service officials say all schools remain open for students who can get there safely.

They also remind parents that cancelled bus routes will not run in the afternoon; any students brought to school by other means must be picked up at the end of the school day.

It's such a inconvince when the buses get canceled because of a watch or warning for freezing rain when it's actually not doing anything out. Buses get canceled way to often theses days
