Sergeant Paul Brewer and Staff Sergeant Barry Ramsay look on during thier promotion ceremony Thursday.

Three North Bay Police officers were sworn into higher ranks Thursday as part of recent promotions within the North Bay Police Service.

Family, friends and coworkers attended a special ceremony at police headquarters where Acting Inspector Rob Jerome was promoted to Inspector, Acting Staff Sergeant Barry Ramsay was promoted to Staff Sergeant and Acting Sergeant Paul Brewer was promoted to Sergeant.

Police Chief Paul Cook says the combined experience, education and community involvement the three officers will be a great asset as the service continues to witness an influx of younger inexperienced recruits.
