Two Powassan men arrested for stealing gas

At 11:06 PM on the 27th Dec North Bay Police responded to a call from the manager of a tanker transport company that an employee was presently stealing gas behind a restaurant on Hwy 11 North.

Police attended and located two men, one of whom was the tanker transport driver. They had a homemade spigot and hose attached to a tanker siphoning fuel into 17 gas cans set in the bed of a pickup truck.

Christopher Topham 36yrs of Alsace Rd Powassan and David Goudreau 37yrs of Alsace Rd Powassan were arrested and charged with theft under $5000.

Cst Steve Brown is investigating.
