ONTC top news story of 2012

North Bay media voted and have picked their top stories for 2012 and once again the ONTC took top spot as the local news story of the year.

The announcement on the ONTC Divestiture; Northlander ends; group details Port Authority plan received 48 points with 8 first place votes with The OHL Battalion coming back to the bay in a close second place with 34 points and 2 first place votes.

Two disasters take third and fourth place stories of the year:

With 18 points the fire at Lefebvres, Vested Interest & The Abbey secured a third place ranking.

While 4th spot in the poll went to the Victoria Day crash & Formaldehyde spill on Hwy 63 at Silver Lady Lane which garnered 17 points.

With 11 points City Council supporting the casino proposal rounds out fifth place.

11 polls were returned in the survey.
