Periods of freezing rain mixed at times with freezing drizzle tonight.

A warm front approaching from Southern Ontario and Michigan is giving mixed wintery precipitation to Northeastern Ontario. Patchy areas of snow have been prevalent in locales around Timmins while periods of freezing rain and freezing drizzle have crept into the Elliot Lake to North Bay corridor. The patchy freezing rain and freezing drizzle will edge northwards into the Earlton and Timmins areas this evening.

It is expected to change to some rain in the Elliot Lake region this evening, in the Sudbury and North Bay areas towards morning, and Earlton and Timmins regions on Monday.

Motorists and pedestrians should be prepared for dangerous winter travelling conditions this afternoon and tonight. Untreated surfaces will become icy and slippery due to the freezing rain.
