In the spirit of the Christmas Season, Northern Credit Union is again collecting children's Pajamas and Slippers for distribution by the Children's Aid Society.

Donations of new pajamas and slippers for boys and girls (sizes newborn to 16 years of age) can be dropped off at the Northern Credit Union branch, 525 Main Street East, North Bay by Friday, December 14th.

The clothing will go to the children in need in time for Christmas.

Also, Residents from across Northern Ontario are encouraged to help community members in need by visiting a local Northern Credit Union branch over the coming weeks. All 25 branches are collecting food and clothing items including hats, and mittens.

“Our members, employees and people in the communities we serve are so generous with their contributions throughout the year, and we’re grateful for their efforts,” said Al Suraci, President & CEO of Northern Credit Union. “As the holidays approach, we are particularly pleased to support an initiative that provides assistance and brings cheer to those facing hardship.”

All who donate will receive a complimentary Holiday Budget Builder, complete with handy shopping tips, to help track holiday expenses and effectively manage their money while shopping.

The food and clothing drive will run until Christmas. Please visit your local Northern Credit Union branch or www.northerncu.com for additional information on the items being collected.
