Chippewa launched its Change for Change Campaign! The campaign began on October 1st and surpassed its fundraising goal of $900.

This is an annual event in which the school competes to be the class that raises the most amount of loose change. The final total is donated to Chippewa’s long term foster children in Ecuador and Uganda. Besides the classes just bringing in loose change, the school’s Raider-Aid club goes class to class to raise awareness about inequality. “It’s a learning experience for the students and it enables each student to make great change with one small act,” says teacher leader Jessica Bradford.

Chippewa has sponsored Evelyn from Ecuador for 8 years and John from Uganda for 4 years. Over the years the school has raised around $5000 for the kids. Teacher and Raider-Aid Mentor, Chris Cassidy has gone to visit Evelyn’s village and witnessed the change the school’s contributions have done.

“It’s a simple event that has great impact” says Raider Aid member Emma Davis.

Congratulations Chippewa on continuing such a great project!
