Do you want to know more about the environment in a fun, cinematic fashion? Greening Nipissing is partnering with SIFE Nipissing University to host our first ever Eco-Film Festival Friday November 23rd and Saturday November 24th , 2012 at Nipissing University’s Theatre, room# F213

The festival kicks off on Friday night with a gala mixer at 6:30pm and a showing of “Life Cycles”, a cinematically breathtaking exploration of Canadian mountain biking, at 7:00pm. The Friday night feature film costs $10/adult or $5/student. Proceeds from this film showing will help Greening Nipissing sponsor more bike fix stations in North Bay. Tickets can be purchased at Gulliver’s Quality Books and Toys at 157 Main West or at Greening Nipissing office at 183 First St West.

But that’s not all – on Saturday, November 24th 2012 all films have FREE ADMISSION and we’ve got three more environmental cinematic thrillers for you to see!

12:00pm: Blue Gold – World Water Wars “This film will make you thirsty for action!”

3:00pm:Addicted to Plastic “Slick, hard-hitting and even witty!”

7:00pm:Gasland “Is fracking safe? Part verite travelogue, part expose, part mystery, part bluegrass banjo meltdown, part showdown."

We’d like to thank our festival partners SIFE-Enactus Nipissing University, N2M2Labs, North Bay Film, Cogeco North Bay News, North Bay Nugget, Gullivers Quality Books and Toys, CKAT and EZRock radio stations.
