This Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, the museum will be offering visitors 2 for 1 admission. With admission, visitors receive entrance to the house, and a guided tour. There will also be fun fall crafts and activities for the kids. The museum features the original Dionne homestead with Quintuplet artifacts and photographs. Tours are available in both French and English and the museum is also wheelchair accessible. Come on out and enjoy a little fall fun and Canadian History!

The Dionne Quintuplets were the world’s first set of identical quintuplets to survive for more than a couple hours. Born May 28, 1934, the Quints attracted over three million visitors to North Bay and area during the Depression. A whole new tourist industry sprang up and provided employment for thousands in the area. The Quints brightened the days for millions of people during the dark times of the Depression, and helped them forget, for a moment, their troubles. Come down and experience a part of our local history.

This weekend the museum is open 10am to 4pm, Saturday, Sunday, and holiday Monday. The Dionne Quints Museum will be closed for the season as of this Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Although the museum will be closed for the duration of the winter, some artifacts are still housed in the information centre. The museum will re-open the long weekend in May, 2013. The museum is located at the Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Information Centre at 1375 Seymour, on the corner of Hwy 11 and 17.
