Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli was pleased to be on hand today to
present the South Shore/Restoule Snowmobile Club with an Ontario Trillum Foundation Grant of $19,900.

The funding will be used to purchase a new drag which will help volunteers in their efforts to better maintain the organization’s nearly 350-kilometre long trail system.

The aim is to encourage club members and visitors alike to make even more use of area snowmobiling trails and contribute to the economies of communities along the trail system.

The club’s operation consists of part-time office help but is mostly run by a group of more than 30 volunteers.

“Reliable trail grooming equipment is vital for our local snowmobiling clubs,” said Fedeli.

“It’s my hope this funding will only enhance the experience on South Shore/Restoule trails and build our reputation in Nipissing as a premier fourseason recreation destination,” added Fedeli.
