Woman attacked in the old St. Joseph hospital area

At 11:45 pm on the 30 Aug a young woman went for a run. She was on McLaren Ave between the old St Joseph hospital and Algonquin school when she was pushed to the ground from behind then punched in the face.

The assailant then left.

He was described as male, white, about six ft tall wearing a dark hoodie with the hood up.

The victim had been listening to music and did not hear anyone come up behind her.

Cst Christian Elia is investigating.
