New school year = city police targeting aggressive drivers

The North Bay Police Service wished to provide a notice to motorists that with the start of a new school year fast approaching, the Traffic Enforcement Officer and the Platoon Traffic Officers will be targeting aggressive drivers within designated school zones and will be monitoring traffic near school buses.

Motorists are encouraged to practice safe driving at all times but especially once school commences next week where there will be an increased volume of pedestrians and cyclists making their way to and from school.

The North Bay Police Service also wishes to remind motorists that students travelling to and from school are at times using electronic devices such as cell phones and MP3s with headphones/ear buds and are not necessarily paying due attention to the traffic around them.
