Public nudity leads to assaulting a peace officer charges

On 18th Aug at 5:40 am an officer responded to a call about a naked male running down the street.

The man was located at Cassells St at McIntyre but before the officer could get out of the vehicle he was attacked.

An altercation ensued where pepper spray was deployed but had no effect. The man continued to fight with the officer until other officers arrived and man was subdued.

Sheldon Corston 24yrs of Clarence St has been charged with committing an indecent act and assaulting a peace officer.

Both the accused and the officer were taken to hospital treated and released.
