North Bay City Council balanced on issues Monday evening, as a Recreational Feasibility report was brought forward.

The study, looking into whether or not there is a need in identifying key user groups, is hoping to find a way to fund a Multi-Use Sports facility.

The preliminary proposal already identifies a need for better recreational accessibility and infrastructure within the city.

Speaking of infrastructure, the multi-level parking facility on McIntyre Street saw a million dollar maintenance proposal.

Sending a message to residents, council feels it is important to maintain this building with their ongoing support of the central downtown area and its varied business usages.

Also worth mentioning is a public meeting with council regarding the issue of bringing a casino to the city.

It will be held at City Hall, 2nd floor, on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012.
