Why have a First Rider program?

School bus transportation is extremely safe. To maintain this safety record, children and their parents/guardians must be familiar with school bus safety rules.

The First Rider program is an opportunity to introduce
these rules to children (and remind returning students in attendance) and for parents/guardians to become familiar
with student transportation procedures.

It also allows parents/ guardians and children to ask questions about school bus safety and related issues.
Program components:

Review of school bus rules
Show-and-tell of stationary bus
Practice crossing the road in front of the bus Practice transferring from one bus to another
Question-and-answer period
Ride on a school bus

North Bay August 23
Every 45 minutes, starting at 2 pm
and last group at 5:45 pm
Stock Transportation (59 Commerce Crescent) English and French

North Bay August 25
Every 45 minutes, starting at 10 am
and last group at 2:30 pm

Parry Sound August 15
Every 45 minutes, starting at 10:45
