Callander Horticultural Society welcomes guest speaker ED LAWRENCE September 22, 2012, 7:00pm at the Callander Community Centre, Swale St.

ED LAWRENCE, Retired head gardener to six Canadian Governors General and Prime Ministers, more than two decades as phone-in "gardening guru" for CBC Radio's "Ontario Today" will provide practical, down-to-earth advice that has become the final word in gardening for more than half a million loyal listeners and fans. Ed and his team maintained over 32 acres with five distinct landscape zones; wooded parkland, open parkland, sugar bush, private gardens and farmland area at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.

Now, for the second time since 2008, Ed Lawrence returns to the Callander Community Centre, Sept 22, 7:00pm, hosted by the Callander Horticultural Society. Ed's advice to callers on the radio suggested ideas for filling in the spaces between flag stones; how to care for raised flower beds; and attention to cherry trees.

He will be pleased to answer your gardening questions.
