DIA favours a casino in the downtown core

Please be advised that the North Bay Downtown Improvement Area Board of Management passed the following motion (at a special meeting of the board this morning) in support of a prospective casino in the City of North Bay.

Motion 2012-018

Moved that the North Bay Downtown Improvement Area Board of Management recognizes the economic benefit that a casino would bring to the area for our DIA Membership and city of North Bay Businesses.

Recognizing that the province of Ontario has chosen North Bay as one of the communities for a prospective casino development; the North Bay Downtown Improvement Area Board of Management moves to provide support to the City of North Bay in the effort to bring a casino to our city - specifically in the Downtown Core.
