Are your kids already bored with summer? Engage them in the great outdoors! Space is available for six to 10 year olds in the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority’s summer Enviro Daycamp at the Laurentian Escarpment Conservation Area between August 7 and 24.
“During Enviro Camp the kids learn about mammals, amphibians, insects, soils and other elements of our natural world – information they can use in years to come,” explains Dale D’Allaire, NBMCA’s Naturalist.
Children will participate in a variety of environmentally based activities focusing on two themes which alternate weekly:
Our Natural Earth: Mammal Mania, Things with Wings, Treemendous Trees, Dragonfly Tales, and Wondrous Water.
The World Outside: Let’s Rock and Roll, Tread a Little Softer, NBMCA CSI, Weatherology and Survival Day.
Camp runs from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Cost is $110 for the week or $26 for a day. Before and after care is also available at 8:30 am and after camp until 4:30 pm. Space is limited.
To register contact the NBMCA at 705 474-5420 or visit www.nbmca.on.ca.
