Trout Lake store manager fights off knife wielding thief

At 8:50 am 18th July a man followed the manager of a business on the 2600 block of Trout Lake Rd into the business.

He brandished a knife and held it near her neck.

She found an opportunity to shove him back out the door but she received a cut finger in the process. The door was then locked and the robber fled the area.

The victim required stitches to close the wound.

The suspect is described as male, white, 5’ 6” tall, 180 lbs, heavy build, short dark hair, wearing blue coveralls, dark grey/black ball cap, sunglasses, and a drywall mask.

The knife is described as 8 to 10 inches.

The suspect may have been hanging around the area prior to this incident waiting for the victim to arrive.

The North Bay Police are requesting that anyone that may have seen this person contact Cst Aaron Northrup at 705-497-5555.
