Two men arrested after weekend robbery

At 4:15pm on 13th July a man met a second man on the 1100 block of Lavery St. The first man, punched and kicked the other, took his backpack, then fled to a Copeland St address where he was arrested by police at 4:28 pm.

Sam McCarthy 20 yrs of Hamilton Ont has been charged with robbery.

He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

A second person at the Copeland St address obstructed the police while they were searching for the suspect.

Scott Becker 22 yrs was arrested and charged with obstructing police.

He is to appear in court on the 28th Aug.
