OPP investigating fatal mvc at Killbear Provincial Park

West Parry Sound – The West Parry Sound OPP continues to investigate a fatal single motor vehicle collision on Killbear Provincial Park Road, Carling Twp.

Officers remain at the scene. They are assisted by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) and Carling Fire Department. The entrance into the Killbear Provincial Park will be closed for approximately 8 hours.

At Approximately 10:29pm a single motor vehicle lost control and collided with a tree.

A seventeen year old female died at the scene. Her name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.

The Killbear Provincial Park Road is expected to open at approximately 09:00AM.
