On Wednesday, July 11th, 2012, The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound will host its 4th Annual Summer Company Tradeshow and Barbeque Fundraiser at the North Bay City Hall Leger Square located on McIntyre Street East, in front of the North Bay Public Library from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides support for the start-up and expansion of small enterprises in the Nipissing and Parry Sound regions. The Business Centre administers the Summer Company Program which provides funding to students between the ages of 15 and 29 to start-up and run a business for the summer, and promotes youth entrepreneurship.

“We have a variety of businesses opening this season with financial support from the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation’s Summer Company Program”, states Youth Coordinator, Krista Pedersen, “Everything from lawn maintenance to fashion design. This is an excellent opportunity for them to promote themselves in the public eye and hopefully build their client base.”

This tradeshow will give the students community exposure and experience marketing and selling their products and services. The event is open to the public free of charge, with donations being accepted for the barbeque between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM. All proceeds will be contributed to our local chapter of KidSport.
