Cobalt man charged with obstruct police

At 8:55 am 30th Jun North Bay Police responded to a report of a suspicious male on Main St W. The man was located, but gave the officers a false name and date of birth.

The man then fled from the officers on foot but was subsequently apprehended. A search located 2 different types of drugs and an identity search revealed warrants for his arrest.

Gunner Halpin 19yrs of Cobalt is charged with obstruct police, two counts of possession illicit drugs, and breach of an undertaking. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
