Another Diamond Jubilee medal handed out

Kayvon Rouhani was awarded with a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal on Canada Day by Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli.

Rouhani was surprised to receive his medal in front of friends and family at the Multicultural Showcase held at the North Bay Waterfront as part of Canada Day
celebrations.

“Kayvon is a true leader among our local immigrant community and I’m delighted the community saw fit to nominate him,” Fedeli said.

Rouhani was nominated for his community leadership on immigration issues in North Bay, his volunteerism and philanthropy to numerous area charities.

This presentation was one of 14 Fedeli will make over the course of this Jubilee year.

The Diamond Jubilee Medal is a commemorative medal created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the accession of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to the Throne and as a way to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.
