Man charged with uttering threats following knife incident

Shortly after 2 a.m. on the 28th of June, security staff at the Northeast Regional Health Centre were dealing with an irate male subject when a large hunting knife was brandished and threats were uttered.

The suspect fled the area on foot and he was subsequently located by police on College Drive and arrested.

Patrick Veysey, 35 years old and of no fixed address, has been charged with Uttering Threats and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

He has been held for a bail hearing.
