Further to the release of 21 June 2012, members of the Criminal Investigations Section continue to investigate this incident after a male subject was arrested by Greater Sudbury Police Service.

On Thursday, 21 June 2012, the North Bay Police Service entered into an investigation involving a carjacking. At approximately 12:00 p.m. the victim attended a Scotia bank located at 390 Lakeshore Drive, North Bay.

The victim left the bank to return to his vehicle.

Once inside the vehicle the victim was approached by an unknown male.

This male entered into his vehicle and demanded money and transportation.

The victim released control of his vehicle to the male.

The victim was driven to various areas within the west end of North Bay with no specific location.

The male drove the victim’s vehicle west onto Hwy 17 West.

The victim was released, unharmed on a dirt side road off Hwy 17 West.

The victim was assisted by an unknown female who transported him to a safe location.

The North Bay Police Service requests the assistance of the public in identifying this male.

This male is described as Caucasian, 6'0”, slim build, clean cut, 175 lbs, mid to late twenties, dark short hair thinning on top, mustache with a gotee, dark pants light shirt, white shoes.
