“These results are exemplary of the exceptional instruction and support provided by our dedicated staff to all students at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall,” said Anna Marie Bitonti, Director of Education. “As part of our Board Improvement Plan, we will examine the trends in this assessment to guide the ongoing development of best practices in the classroom and to maintain the momentum of student achievement in all areas. We congratulate our students and extend our deep appreciation to NPSC teaching and support staff.”

The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) develops and administers the OSSLT. The assessment results inform staff, parents and the general public that students have acquired the foundational reading and writing skills that they are expected to have learned by the end of Grade 9 as outlined in the Ontario curriculum.
