On Friday, June 8, Easter Seals Ontario held the 4th Annual Ladies Golf Tournament for Easter Seals Kids at the Pinewood Park Golf Course, raising over $11,000 for Easter Seals kids. Ladies enjoyed a day full of indulgences including personal caddies, specialty holes, gift bags, a silent auction, a $10,000 hole-in-one and a hole-in-one for a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic.

Easter Seals would like to thank everyone that made this tournament such a wonderful success. Without the generous support of our corporate hole sponsors, specialty hole sponsors, silent auction and prize donors, volunteers and golfers, this tournament would not have been possible.

“We are thrilled that the 4th Annual Ladies Golf Tournament for Easter Seals Kids was such a success. All the women had a great time being pampered at the holes with mini-spa services, chocolate tastings and more,” said Marc Baril, Chair of the Nipissing and Area District Council for Easter Seals. “It’s rewarding to know that funds raised from this tournament will go towards helping children with physical disabilities receive essential mobility and communication equipment as well as fully accessibly summer camp opportunities.”

Easter Seals Ontario is now in its 90th year of helping children and youth with physical disabilities. Since 1922, Easter Seals Ontario has provided families of children with physical disabilities with financial assistance for expensive mobility equipment and communication devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, braces, as well as fully accessible Easter Seals camps, and funding for alternative recreational programs.
