Trudeaumania hits the Bay Update

Liberal MP Justin Trudeau talks about youth engagement and Katimavik with BayToday student reporter Taylor Marleau during his visit to North Bay Thursday.

Papineau MP Justin Trudeau was in North Bay Thursday to rally Liberal members and supporters from both the Nipissing-Timiskaming and Nickel Belt ridings.

During a media scrum downtown Trudeau told reporters that he couldn’t make a trip to northern Ontario without stopping in the Bay to spend time with his friend Anthony Rota.

The duo spent the day meeting with community leaders, students and party faithful.

It was like ‘Trudeaumania’ had been revived because everywhere the young Trudeau went he was received like a rock star with folks young and old lining up to have their photo taken with charismatic son of former Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau

Trudeau talked about everything from the course and challenges that are ahead for the Liberal Party, youth engagement, the recent security scare for political parties, the robocall scandal and election fraud.
