ONTC campaign hits the GTA

Representatives from the General Chairperson’s Association (GCA) which represents all unionized employees at Ontario Northland (ONTC) announced that it had placed an ad today in the The Metro a Toronto Daily Newspaper with over 538,000 daily readers to gain support for the New Deal 4 Ontario Northland campaign.

“The support we have received from all Northern communities, business leaders and the public at large has been overwhelming”, said General Chairperson’s Association Spokesperson Brian Kelly.

“We are moving the campaign to the next level with the intent of garnering support from Greater Toronto Area (GTA) communities and the travelling public who use GO Transit services”, continued Kelly.

“We are asking GTA commuters to go to the Northern Communities Working Group website www.nd4on.ca and fill out the coupon in support of Ontario Northland”, added Kelly.

“With the entire province speaking in one voice in support of a new deal for Ontario Northland not even Dalton McGuinty will be able to ignore the North any longer”, concluded Kelly.
