Public invited to Special Education Carousel night

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board’s Special Education Advisory Committee invites all parents, educators, professionals and anyone with an interest in education to the annual Special Education Carousel Evening on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School.

Themed “Learning in the 21st Century”, this event will feature 11 free workshops addressing timely topics across the special education spectrum, interactive displays by local agencies and businesses, and free childcare on site.

Workshops include: Anxiety in Children; ADHD; A Parent’s Guide to Eating Disorders; Oral Language Development; Child & Youth Mental Healthy Literacy; Toys to Technology; Strengths, Strategies & Supports; Social Thinking; Let’s Read; Successful Transition Strategies; Wealth Management.
