OPP on scene of a a single vehicle fatal MVC Update

Arnstein – A single motor vehicle that claimed the life of its lone occupant occurred yesterday just after 1:00pm on Highway # 522 at Seagull Lake Rd.

The driver, identified as 67 year old Arina HOWES of Loring, ON veered off the highway and entered the ditch causing the vehicle to flip.

It is suspected the driver may have been in medical distress at the time of incident.

A post mortem will be conducted later today.

Members of the OPP’s Technical Collision Investigations and Forensic Identifications Units are continuing their investigation.

Members of the Powassan Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently on the scene of a single vehicle fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway # 522 and Seagull Lake Rd in Arnstein.

At this time we can confirm that the lone occupant is deceased and the highway is closed for the investigation.

The identity of the driver is being withheld at this time pending next of kin notification.

Members of the OPP’s Technical Collision Investigations and Forensic Identifications Units are on scene.
