Producers to attend local screening of Oscar-Nominated Film 'In Darkness'

“In Darkness is a Holocaust drama based on the true story of Leopold Socha, a Polish sewer worker and thief in Lvov who sheltered a group of Jews in the sewers of Nazi-occupied town” (www.thefilmworks.ca).

The film had its World Premiere at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, was chosen as Poland’s Official Selection for the 2012 Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film and was nominated for the Cinema of Peace Most Valuable Film of the Year Award.

North Bay Film is pleased to host the screening of “In Darkness” and to welcome Producers Paul Stephens and Eric Jordan back to North Bay.

The screening will be taking place on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Galaxy Cinemas (300 Lakeshore Drive). The film begins at 7:30 p.m. and will include an introduction by Paul and Eric along with an exclusive Q&A following the screening.

Tickets will be available on-site for $8 each (members) or $10 each (non-members) or $6 each (students).
